Compatibility and safe version selection
- Start with the controller model. Confirm the sending card, receiving card and control-box generation before choosing an installer.
- Use LEDStudio for playback and LEDSet for configuration. They overlap in some workflows but are not interchangeable.
- Back up RCG and CON files first. A working receiving-card file and screen-connection file are the fastest recovery path if a new configuration is incorrect.
- Use special builds only for their stated hardware. The L1-L6 control-box and dual-color beta editions should not be treated as general-purpose releases.
- Do not assume macOS compatibility. The official download centers currently show Windows installers, Android packages and a Deepin ARM64 package; we did not verify a native macOS installer.
- Treat archive mirrors as legacy resources. Prefer Linsn official packages for current work. Use a third-party archive only when a known older controller requires that specific release.
How to open Linsn LEDStudio Intelligent Setup
Legacy LEDStudio installations commonly use the following values: serial number 888888, hardware setup password 168, and administrator password 888. A newer customized system may use different credentials supplied by the integrator.
- Open LEDStudio, select Option, and then select Software Setup.
- Enter linsn in lowercase when prompted.
- Enter 168 for hardware setup. This opens the Intelligent Setup area used for receiving-card and screen-connection configuration.
Common LEDStudio and LEDSet problems
LEDStudio opens, but the screen is not detected
Check the sending-card connection, network adapter, USB/COM driver and controller power. Confirm that the software release supports the installed controller generation.
The screen works until new parameters are sent
Restore the previously exported RCG file and verify scan mode, module dimensions, data groups and receiver-card mapping before attempting another setup.
A newer version does not work with an older receiving card
Use the version originally supplied with the system or move backward through the archive one release at a time. Do not update firmware and software simultaneously unless you have a recovery package.
LEDStudio will not install on the computer
Confirm the operating system and installer architecture, extract ZIP/RAR packages before running them, and use an administrator account when the installer or driver requires elevated permissions.
